BCD Tofu House in Epping offers a distinct dining experience for those who appreciate authentic Korean cuisine focused on hearty tofu soups and traditional dishes. Situated on Rawson Street, this restaurant feels like a relaxed neighborhood spot where families and friends gather, especially when the weather calls for something warm and comforting.

The atmosphere is open and welcoming, with staff attentive in a way that reflects genuine Korean hospitality, making the experience feel personal rather than rushed. The setting suits casual dinners or longer meals where sharing multiple dishes is part of the appeal.

What stands out here is the variety of tofu-based soups served with noodles, such as pork, seafood, and beef options around $26. These stews come piping hot and are perfect for cooler days or when you’re craving something wholesome and satisfying. Alongside these, the menu includes well-executed traditional items like kimchi pancakes and spicy chicken bulgogi, which complement the soups and add variety to the table.

Visitors often comment on the balanced selection of side dishes that accompany meals, offering a full range of flavors that aren’t watered down for a general audience but carry the richness and depth you’d expect from Korean home cooking. The generous portions also mean it’s a spot suited for sharing, fitting well with the communal dining style popular in Korea.

Accessibly priced compared to Korean restaurants in nearby hubs like Parramatta, BCD Tofu House is especially good for locals wanting a taste of authentic Korean cooking without the formality or bustle of a city-center restaurant. The casual, friendly vibe means it works well for weeknight dinners or weekend visits when you want something familiar but thoughtfully prepared.

Whether you’re new to Korean food or someone who seeks traditional specialties, this place feels rooted in genuine tastes and straightforward, nourishing meals, making it a comfortable choice in Epping’s dining scene.

I had the Yukhoe Bibimbap with Soft Tofu Stew Set and the Perilla Oil Makguksu — everything was absolutely delicious. The set menu was so well thought out and beautifully balanced. On top of that, the staff were incredibly lovely and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

My Korean friend brought me to this restaurant, and it offers truly authentic Korean cuisine with traditional ways of eating. It’s quite different from the Korean restaurants I’ve tried in the city, which makes this place highly recommended. The side dishes were especially impressive — each one was full of rich, solid flavors, which many other places often fail to achieve. The service was warm and friendly, and the environment was very clean. I tried the Kimchi Tofu, Seafood Tofu, and Beef Tofu — while the base flavors are similar, each dish had its own tasty twist depending on the added ingredients. All of them were absolutely delicious and definitely worth trying!

TBH, my favourite Korean restaurant in Epping is BCD Tofu House—not only because it’s close to home, but because their service and food are generous in the traditional Korean way. Just like a host welcoming guests, they serve abundant mains and sides, all at about half the price you’d expect to pay for dinner in Parramatta. I enjoy several dishes from their menu: the nourishing chicken ginseng soup with a whole chicken, the hot and spicy tofu soup, stone-steamed rice, Korean barbecue beef on a sizzling hot plate, and the hearty cow bone soup. Each meal feels authentic, filling, and well-balanced. For hungry diners—especially time-poor professionals—this is the place to go. Their meals will satisfy your appetite without stretching your budget.

With so many Korean restaurants in the Eastwood and less so in the Epping area, this one is "special". It specialises in Tofu soups and rice. The special rices (Thistle) with hot stone was delicious and mixing it with boiling water with the remaining rice created another warming rice soup dish great for the cold winter. The service was excellent, efficient and friendly in a open warm atmosphere. The kimchi pancake was another must eat dish! Definitely worth a try!

So happy to taste the flavors of Korea again here in Sydney. Everything was so good especially the pancakes and 갈비찜 galbi-jjim. The service was super friendly and this place is definitely my new go-to. Can’t wait to come back

Went there for a quick lunch. Service is quick. 6 free side dishes. Ordered beef rib with tofu soup and rice. The rice comes with hot stone pot, be careful it’s really hot! But love the bottom with the rice crackers. All soups come with a raw egg. You can crack the egg into the soup let cook but more to enjoy it. $30 for a combo like this is not bad.

Authentic Korean - Kimchi pancake was fabulous with rich flavour & crispy to bite. Bulgoggi hot pot was also great to share with friends. Bossam (steamed Pork) was also good with rich and chewy texture. Everyone has enjoyed the evening there.
